Ludmilla

Speech and Language Pathologist
BSP, MSPA

Hi, I’m Ludmilla, a compassionate and dedicated new graduate with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours) from La Trobe University and a Certified Member of Speech Pathology Australia. I'm excited to bring a wealth of life experience to the field.

I bring over a decade of experience as a dance instructor and founder of a dance school, where I’ve developed a deep understanding of how to connect with individuals, adapt to their needs, and create supportive, engaging environments.

My passion for speech pathology comes from both personal and professional experiences. As a mother of two, I understand the importance of clear, compassionate communication, especially when working with children and families.

Through supporting loved ones with stroke and dementia, I also know firsthand the challenges families face and the value of patience, empathy, and active listening. I believe therapy should be more than a one-size-fits-all approach—every person is unique, and I tailor my therapy to fit each individual's strengths and goals. With my Indonesian heritage, I value diversity and respect people from all walks of life, ensuring that everyone feels heard and understood. Outside of speech pathology, you’ll often find me immersed in salsa dancing and music — a passion that have shaped my ability to engage, teach, and inspire people of all ages, from kindergarteners to older adults. Whether in therapy, the dance studio, or everyday life, I believe in progress over perfection and celebrate every step forward.

I look forward to meeting you, learning your story, and working together to achieve your goals—one step at a time.

  • I love all things art, from dancing, painting, drawing to pyrography (wood burning), and crafting. Music is another love of mine, especially live performances. I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it’s a morning or evening walk, hiking through nature, or admiring the night sky.

  • I believe that every individual has a unique voice that deserves to be heard and understood. My approach to patient care is built on compassion, patience, and respect for each person’s journey. I listen, seek to understand, and tailor therapy to each client’s strengths, goals, and personal background. I also recognise that communication is key and trust is built over time, which is why I prioritise forming genuine, meaningful connections with my clients, their families and their support networks. By creating a safe and supportive environment, I take the time needed to help clients feel comfortable, confident, and empowered.
